Encourage Me

Meanwhile I got a 4ft teddy bear, I love it I love it and I've decided to share a picture with you guys. See how I'm gradually coming out. Before you know it, I'd post my picture on my blog, lol. After spending about 30minutes I realized my eyes ached because it was too bright so I decided to change it. My post titles are acting up so my title for today is "ENCOURAGE ME"

I haven't had the urge to update my blog, read blogs or even read my books. Finally I got my mojo on saturday and sunday I decided to fall ill. Kai, I won't say I am so ill because I am well in Jesus Name, somebody say Amen. I got a cold over the weekend. I've been sneezing away failures and bad lucks. I couldn't sleep at night because my nostrils were so stuffed and I kept sneezing. When I finally slept at about 5:20am I was still a tad conscious because I couldn't breathe properly. I stayed in today because I didn't want to sneeze in school and everybody just holds their breath, lol. I do it too joh so I just stayed at home. Hopefully I wake up better tomorrow. I want my mummy!!!!!

Meanwhile this happened to me a while back between a friend and I, it's been on my mind. It's not that serious though but anyways here we go. We were just chatting and she kept going on and on about how she really needs to pass a certain course, like she went on and on. She makes efforts to pass the course but not all the way, like she can actually go to the library with the intention to study that particular course but when she gets to the library instead of studying she gists and does very random things that has nothing to do with studying and she keeps going to the library but doesn't study at the end of the day. So to our next conversation, she continues going on and on about the same course and how she needs to pass the course and I go "hey if you don't study for that course you'd fail it". She got angry because of this statement that I had to give a random apology for it. But on a real though? Was I out of line with that statement? I think it would have been a different story if I said "I think you'd fail that course" just like that.

There's one thing I'm not and that thing is "discouraging" but at the same time I don't pour honey on bitter kola and say, here take a bite. Everyone likes to be encouraged, I wouldn't like it either if I passionately say I'd like to grow my hair to at least my bra length and you tell me something like "it can never happen" it's different if you tell me something like "with your kind of hair dos and the way you handle your hair you may not achieve that......" then probably suggest something like "stop braiding your hair for a while and find what works for you" I don't think that's much of a big deal. This is just an example by the way. I love love love to be encouraged, and I'm sure everyone else loves it. And no, you don't have to believe in the other persons dream before you can encourage them because what you believe in doesn't matter at that point. All that matters is the person who needs the encouragement and their belief.

People on BBM send me silly songs to listen to and I just shake my head but I will never send a reply saying "music is not your thing" but if it were my cousin or brother I might say "hmmmm sha finish school incase this music thing does not work for you, at least you have something to fall back on". Because really if Terry G can make it in 9ja music industry then all hope is not lost for them.

This is is also a note to myself because I know for sure I stray sometimes or I probably tell the truth in a wrong way. Never give anyone a reason to be discouraged. Until it's you, you really don't know how much a discouraging statement hurts.
